The final part of the “Der Ring des Nibelungen” tetralogy: “Götterdämmerung”, ignited a storm of emotions at the Sofia Opera hall. One after the other, the singers were greeted with “Bravo!” shouts as well as the choir and all the other teams, conductor Konstantin Trinks and director Plamen Kartaloff. The orchestra members also went up on stage who, evening after evening, painted a brilliant musical picture.
Wagner fans from all over the world have arrived especially for this first Wagner week and many of them promised to come back next year, impressed by the wonderful productions and performers.

Starring in “Götterdämmerung”: Martin Iliev as Siegfried, Radostina Nikolaeva as Brunhilde, Atanas Mladenov as Gunther, Petar Buchkov as Hagen, Alma-Lisa Bandalovska as Gutrune, Plamen Dimitrov as Alberich, Violeta Radomirska as Waltraute, Stanislava Momekova, Alexandrina Stoyanova-Andreeva and Ina Petrova as the three Rhein maidens and Ina Petrova, Tsveta Sarambelieva and Silviya Teneva as the three Norns.

The Sofia Opera Wagner festival continues with the last two premiere titles: “Lohengrin” on the 12th of June and “Tannhäuser” on the 14th of June.
