On the 26th and 28th of September, the Sofia Opera and Ballet present “Tosca” with the participation of Stefan Pop: the world-famous tenor.
When he was just 23 years old, he attracted the opera world’s attention by winning two of the most prestigious opera contests in the span of just one week: “Operalia” in Milano and the International music contest in Seoul.
He debuted as Nemorino in “Love Elixir” by Donizetti in Timisoara and on the international stage: in “La Traviata” at the Rome opera under the directorship of Franco Dzefirelli.
Today, Stefan Pop is one of the brightest tenors of his generation and often visits leading theaters around the world. This autumn, the Sofia audience will applaud him in the role of Cavaradossi in “Tosca”.
