The “The Sound of Music” musical returns to the Sofia Opera and Ballet stage.
“This is an exceptional musical. It will be performed on the 31st of October and on the 1st of November”, Vesela Delcheva from the Sofia Opera announced.
“We’re exceptionally happy this classic piece will be performed on the Sofia Opera and Ballet stage. This is a very popular and respected musical of exceptional quality. I very much hope more people get to know the score, the story and all the messages this musical carries”, she noted for BNR and the “Predi vsichki” show and told us more about the story unfolding in the musical as well as about the production team.
“The piece’s title poses questions but also gives answers. However, one must find these answers by himself”, Delcheva noted.
According to her, Bulgaria is an interesting place to set a musical:
“People are interested in Bulgaria and they see we’re making a quality musical. We truly are worthy of standing toe to toe with the biggest theaters in the world.”
During the last ten years, we haven’t stopped developing this genre and musicals are blooming here”, Delcheva added.
