The ballet "One Thousand and One Nights" is a glamorous spectacle, a extravaganza of lights, effects, attractive choreography, exquisite scenery, wonderful music with specific oriental rhythms and a rich palette of percussion instruments.

On 30 and 31 July the premier soloists of Sofia Opera and Ballet Marta Petkova and Tsetso Ivanov conquered one of the most prestigious ballet stages in the world – the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. The ballet by Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov "One Thousand and One Nights", which premiered in Bulgaria on the stage of the Sofia Opera and Ballet at the end of May, enjoyed great interest and spectacular success. The choreography of the ballet was created by the world-famous ballet dancer, choreographer and pedagogue Eldar Aliev. Over the years he has staged "One Thousand and One Nights" in America and Europe.

The ballet "One Thousand and One Nights" is a glamorous spectacle, a fairy of lights, effects, attractive choreography, exquisite scenery, wonderful music with specific oriental rhythms and a rich palette of percussion instruments woven into it. Sofia Opera and Ballet will present it in the summer season. On 16 August at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, and on 19, 20 and 21 August on the open stage of Lake Pancharevo, this impressive ballet production will delight the audience with a version specially adapted for the open stage.
