A final bow: avid applause for “Les Misérables” in front of the “St. Alexander Nevsky” cathedral

Last night, the second part of the “Opera at the square” festival concluded with the final performance of the musical “Les Misérables”. Under acad. Plamen Kartaloff’s directorship and maestro Konstantin Trinks’ conductorship, the nine performances gathered over 8500 viewers in front of the magnificent “St. Alexander Nevsky” cathedral.

- The production, the vision and interpretation left the audience in awe and the latter spared no praise regarding the performers, the orchestra and the unforgettable open stage experience.

- This was the first open stage performance of “Les Misérables” in Bulgaria: a spectacle which turned into an art holiday and a triumph of the spirit.
