The choreography of the ballet is the work of the world-famous ballet dancer, choreographer and pedagogue Eldar Aliev. He realizes a second ballet for the troupe of the Sofia Opera and Ballet. In 2017, he staged the ballet "Le Corsaire" for the first time on the Sofia stage, preserving many of Petipa's original choreography, but updating it to meet the expectations of modern audiences. The Baku-born ballet dancer and choreographer has staged the ballet "One Thousand and One Nights" in America and Europe over the years.
Now, at the end of May, the admirers of ballet art will be able to immerse themselves in the world of the ballet "One Thousand and One Nights" by the composer Fikret Amirov and the choreographer Eldar Aliev. The conductors are Ayyub Guliev and Boris Spasov. The scenography is by Semyon Pastukh. The premiere was on 27 May 27 at 19 h, and the next spectacles are on 28 May at 19 h, 29 May 29 at 16 h, 31 May at 19 h and on 1 June at 19 h.
"One Thousand and One Nights" is a world-famous ballet in which take part the first forces of the ballet troupe of the Sofia Opera: Marta Petkova, Kristina Chochanova-Ivanova, Boryana Petrova, Maria Yorsanova, Kateryna Chebykina, Nikola Hadjitanev, Alfred Yago, Georgi Banchev, Mattew Wittle and others.
