On 29 April, the Sofia Opera and Ballet will present its latest premiere "Ariadne auf Naxos" by Richard Strauss. It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the great opera legend Anna Tomowa-Sintow.
"We are very happy to have this singer, this person, as our coach. She is an exceptional friend of ours. She was extremely precise regarding the lyrics. We are also lucky enough to work with Evan Christ – an exceptional conductor, who insists very much on the musical side of things. He simply does not allow a millionth of a pause to be disregarded or a phrase not to be sung well. The symbiosis between the conductor and Anna Tomowa-Sintow made us, a little immodestly, such good professionals", told on bTV Radio Silvana Pravcheva, who enters into the role of the nymph Echo.
"Ariadne auf Naxos" by Richard Strauss will be performed on 29 and 30 April, at 19 h and on 14 and 15 May at the Sofia Opera.
