Do children go to the opera and what offers them the contemporary art? Children are the most capricious audience, but in spite of this, they do go to the opera.
This month is upcoming the premiere of “Lilly and the magic pearl” after Valeri Petrov’s fairy-tale “Puk”.
The composer and conductor Lyubomir Denev tells that it was first a film and still during his work over it they wanted to have a possibility to make it on stage.
“I am very happy that the time has come this production to be realized. We made a new, stage version. I made also a new orchestration. I think that “Lilly and the magic pearl” will please all children from 5 to 105 years”, said Denev.
“I did my best it to be melodic, dramatic, to be remembered. Here there is a genre wealth. Some of the characters are decided in an opera way, others like in a film, and others in a jazz way. It will be very varied and interesting”, is convinced the composer and conductor.
Marta Mironska is taking care of the costumes.
“During all the time I tried them to meet unusual characters. Each costume will be a surprise”, explained Mironska.
On 25 and 26 February at the Opera you will have the chance to see the opera for children “Lilly and the magic pearl”.
