“Delirium”: Jessica Pratt’s concert on the 8th of March at the Sofia Opera left the audience in awe.
On the 3rd of May, she will return to Sofia.
The operas will be almost the same, just different arias. Luckily, the great bel canto composers Vincenzo Bellini and Gaetano Donizetti have created more than enough exceptional moments in their masterpieces.
“Bel canto is a very important part of the repertoire I’ve created over the years. To me, it would be ideal to sing bel canto till the end of my career, adding a bit of Mozart and “The Tales of Hoffmann” but always in bel canto style because this is the healthiest way to sing according to me”, Jessica Pratt said.
Precisely this will happen on the 3rd of May.
Last time, we experienced grand delirium scenes and now we will discover the beauty of the same heroines’ love thrills: a yearning which will never bring them the love they dream of.
On stage, Pratt will perform the roles of Almina, Elvira, Lucia and Linda as well as those of Juliet, Norma, Ophelia and Olympia, with the participation of the Sofia Opera orchestra and under the conductorship of Francesco Ivan Ciampa.
