Today we raise the curtain on the premiere of the ballet “Pride and Prejudice” based on Jane Austen’s novel, choreography and directorship by Leo Mujic. We will hear the score of English composers Edward Elgar, Sir Charles Paris, Ralph von Williams, Henry Purcell, Georg Fr. Handel, Peter Warlock.
The three prima ballerinas Marta Petkova, Katerina Petrova and Boryana Petrova as well as the four premier soloists Frederico Pinto, Tsetso Ivanov, Nikola Hadzhitanev and Emil Yordanov take on the roles of the protagonists in Jane Austen’s wonderful novel. Also starring: Polina Ivanova, Simeon Atanasov, Vyara Ivancheva, Ami Inoue, Elena Petrova, Pamela Pandova-Baneva, Maria Yordanova, Georgi Asparuhov, the Sofia Opera lead ballet dancers and corps de ballet.
