Sofia National Opera Announces New Streaming Schedule for Easter - operawire.com

The Sofia National Opera has announced its Easter programming beginning on April 10.

The streaming platform will celebrate good Friday April 10 with Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.


On Saturday, April 11, Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin will be streamed followed by the ballet “Don Quixote” on Easter April 12.

BNT 2 will also stream “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” on April 12.


The platform will continue on April 14 with Wagner’s “Parsifal” followed by Verdi’s Requiem on April 17.


On April 18, the Sofia National Opera will stream a double bill of Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” with Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi.”


The final two streams announced will be Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunov” on April 19 and the ballet “La Dame aux Camelias” with music by Verdi – Sergey Onsoff.
