Nunzia De Falco is Violetta Valéry in “La traviata” at the Sofia Opera – impressio.dir.bg

Since an early age, Nunzia De Falco played the piano, but later she dedicated herself to singing. Nunzia is an artist with different aspects and many interests. She graduated with distinction from the Giuseppe Martucci Conservatoire in her home city Salerno and is a graduate also from the University of Salerno in philology, literature and antique history.

She specialized opera singing at the Santa Cecilia National Academy with Renata Scotto, Anna Vandi and Cesare Scarton.

She graduated with distinction from the Giuseppe Martucci Conservatoire in her home city Salerno and is a graduate also from the University of Salerno in philology, literature and antique history.
She specialized opera singing at the Santa Cecilia National Academy with Renata Scotto, Anna Vandi and Cesare Scarton.

She is prize-winner of many international competitions, among which – the International Opera Singing Competition in Tenerife and the Francesco Albanese International Competition, where she was awarded in the categories “Opera Singing” and “Neapolitan Song”. She won the scholarship of the San Carlo Giacomo Maggiore Association. 

She has performed Violetta from “La traviata” on the stage of Teatro Pergolesi in Iesi, the Priestess from “Aida” at Teatro San Carlo under the baton of Pinchas Steinberg and at Teatro Verdi in Salerno, where conducted Daniel Oren. Other roles of the soprano are Dona Armida from “La finta parigina” by Domenico Cimarosa at the Paris Opera, Alice from “Falstaff” by Verdi and Adina in “L’elisir d’amore” by Donizetti at Teatro Flavio Vespasiano in Rieti.

Parallel to her artistic activity, Nunzia is also a musicologist and takes actively part in seminars, concerts-lessons and cultural meetings.

In 2016 the soprano published a book with the title “Odysseus’ Sirens” by Luigi Dallapiccola”.
