THE SOLOISTS IN “EUGENE ONEGIN” ON 26.05

 

Evgenia Ralcheva was born in Plovdiv. She graduated from the Art School. She is a student of world-known mezzo-soprano Alexandrina Milcheva. She graduated from her Sacra Academia. She graduated from the New Bulgarian University, specialty Opera Singing.

Her debut on the opera stage she made in the role of Violetta, “La traviata”. She was awarded the Second Prize at the prestigious International Competition “Boris Christoff”, which is being held on the stage of the Sofia Opera. She has First Prize at the International Competition “Coast of Hope”, Albena. Third Prize in 2014 in the first edition for singers at the Competition for Chamber Music “Pancho Vladigerov”. She has taken part in many festivals, among which “Apolonia”, “Sofia Music Days” and others.

Ivaylo Mihaylov graduated from the State Academy of Music in Sofia in the class of Valerie Popova. He specialized in Italy at the Academia “Boris Christoff” in Rome by Giuseppe Taddei and in Osimo by William Matteuzzi.

His repertoire includes the central parts of Radamès, Ernani, Riccardo, Don José, Rodolfo, Faust and still about twenty main roles.

He has worked with eminent conductors like Donato Renzetti, Carlo Palleschi, Marco Angius, Mihail Angelov. He has sung at some of the biggest theatres in Japan, Palma de Majorca, Belgium, Holland, as well as at the operas in Bucharest, Porto, Cagliari, Spoleto, Perugia and others.
He has recordings for RAI Classica, VTV – Saigon 2014, where he was a jury and mentor on the Pop Star to Opera Star Show and X Factor, as well as for the Bulgarian National Television and the Bulgarian National Radio.

Since 2015, he is soloist also of the Opera in Spoleto, Italy, and since 2016 he cooperates also with the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto.

Mark Fowler graduated from the Opera Studio to the Melbourne University in 2002, and in 2009 he graduated from a Magister programme at the New Bulgarian University in the class of Natalia Afeyan.

Mark is winner of national and international prizes: European Youth Competition “The Crown of Tarnovgrad” – I Prize; Concorso Internazionale per cantanti lirici 2007 (Alcamo, Sicilia, Italy) – finalist; the Prize of the Raina Kabaivanska Foundation 2006 and 2007 and others. Mark Fowler made his European debut in 2007 in Rome, performing the role of Tamino.

As soloist of the Plovdiv Opera, he performs a series of central roles in operas, operettas and musicals.
